XICRU™ NF Series Crucibles are premium isostatic-pressed SiC-graphite matrix crucibles specially engineered for aluminium, aluminium alloys and zinc alloy smelting. The NF Series (Black) receives an initial anti-oxidation coating followed by an additional firing process that significantly enhances durability, thermal stability and resistance to low-temperature oxidation over long operating cycles.
The iron-free composition completely prevents metal contamination in high-purity aluminium melts. Excellent thermal conductivity (thanks to the SiC-infused matrix) reduces heat-up times and energy consumption, while the low thermal expansion coefficient (4.1×10⁻⁶/°C) eliminates microfractures and thermal stress cracking. The low-wettability surface minimises slag adherence, making cleaning easy and reducing downtime between melts.
