Product Description
Sialon Heater Tubes for Aluminium Foundries – 20+ Grades, Up to 3 Years Service Life, Non-Wetting Protection for Immersion Heaters.
Sialon ULTRA™ Heater Tubes are the industry-leading immersion heater protection tubes for aluminium and non-ferrous foundries. Manufactured from advanced silicon nitride-based Sialon ceramics (Si₃Al₃O₃N₅), they offer exceptional thermal shock resistance (550–900 °C), non-wetting surfaces, low thermal conductivity and outstanding corrosion/erosion protection – outperforming cast iron, silicon carbide and aluminium titanate by up to 30 % longer life.
Customers routinely achieve 2–3 years of continuous operation with minimal cleaning. Perfect for protecting immersion heaters in ALPUR® TS15/TS35/TS55/TS75/TS90, SNIF®, Hertwich, G3 cc Line in-line degassers and Striko Westofen dosing systems. The unique Sialon composition (partial substitution of silicon by aluminium and nitrogen by oxygen) delivers superior properties compared to pure Si₃N₄, ensuring clean, closed dosing systems that prevent contamination and maintain highest metal purity.
